There is a certain audacity to blogging.  You put your thoughts out on the net, hoping to plant seeds of understanding that will help change your world in some way–or help someone find encouragement or direction in their lives.  Once you put it out there you really have no control over where it goes or to whom it goes.  The best guess a blogger gets is to read the statistics pages and see the data on visitors.  This usually includes how many persons, how many views of your site, and the country in which the visitor resides.

Today this site was visited by someone in mainland China. For the life of me, I do not remember ever having a visitor from there.  The post they visited was my previous one on “Wishful Thinking” (and faith).  For the life of me, I pray that what I wrote will be used by the Holy Spirit to transform this person into someone who lives for Jesus.  In the very least, it is my prayer that why they received will help their piece of China see a little bit of God’s light.

I am reminded of a promise shared in Isaiah 55.11 so is my word that goes out from my mouth: It will not return to me empty, but will accomplish what I desire and achieve the purpose for which I sent it.

Let it be so, Lord.
